Hi ladies, seeking your wisdom for an overwhelmed ftm.

I'm 38 plus 5, twinges over the weekend, bloody show at 9pm last night and since then regular stabby contractions, at 11am they were 45 secs long and 5 mins apart and so as advised we attended the mat unit.

Labour has started, baby happily fully engaged however cervix only 1 to 2cm. Home with some codiene and manged to get maybe 90 mins sleep and some food, contractions still annoyingly regular at every 5 mins but now lasing 90 secs.

If I phone they'll say com back in, it's about a 40 min drive tho and I don't think my morale can take it if its unnecessary. I know I'm asking the impossible but how long do you think? /whst would you do?

I would be calling them and asking them if I come in now will I stay as I can’t do this journey again in more pain than you are now. I would head there sharpish as you could progress quite abit in 40 minutes in later stages. also the further into it you are the more uncomfortable you will be in the car. Good luck 💙💖
