Condom slipped off during sex

Has this happened to anyone and if so, did you get pregnant?

dh doesn’t want another one but I’m open to having another so part of me is hoping I’m pregnant.

I don’t get it - like it slipped off and you carried on going? I mean otherwise, a single thrust of a bare penis pre ejaculation won’t get you pregnant, no… not impossible I guess but you’re probably more likely to win the Euro millions by finding a lost ticket on the ground to be honest. So I’d call that a no.
If he ejaculated inside you then obviously you could be pregnant. If he didn’t ejaculate inside you then it’s highly unlikely.
But to answer your question, no this hasn’t happened to me and again no this hasn’t happened to me.

Go and get the morning after pill.

CutiePatooties · 15/11/2022 22:28

LOL some mumsnetters are brutal.

I asked if this has happened to you? Meaning, only comment if it HAS happened to you! And yet I’m the one being spoken to like I’m a thicko…. Yeah, okay…..

PP gave you quite a polite answer tbh.

No this has never happened to me either. Was the condom too big for him or was it slipped off by someone during sex?

LittleMrsMama · 15/11/2022 22:35

This is how I conceived DD. It was a drunken night and we didn’t realise the condom had come off until after. How easily did you get pregnant previously? How long after the end of your last period did this happen?

heartbroken22 · 15/11/2022 22:56

Happened to me but didn't get pregnant. But I know it can happen.

Dontbelieveawordofit · 15/11/2022 23:02

So only people this has happened to are allowed to answer? Strange, but ok

Dontbelieveawordofit · 15/11/2022 23:02

Apologies, this has not happened to me so I shouldn't have commented..

ElephantsEverywheree · 15/11/2022 23:13

I mean it's not happened to me but...... I have so many questions

Cleveramazing · 15/11/2022 23:17

Get the morning after pill and pray you have not ovulated .,

RandomMess · 15/11/2022 23:30

Yea it happened to me, the result is now 26 even though I took the MAP

cushioncovers · 16/11/2022 07:51

I'll make my answer softer for you op. Yes this has happened to me. I went and got the MAP.

OrcaBlondie · 16/11/2022 08:31

Hi. Sorry, it hasn’t happened to me but I think some people are commenting because there is not enough explanation in your question. As first commenter said did you carry on and he ejaculated inside you or did it slip off and you noticed and put another on which he ejaculated in to? Hard to answer otherwise.

Velvetbee · 16/11/2022 08:37

Yep, she’s 23 now.

SmileyClare · 16/11/2022 08:38

The sensible thing to do is to take the MAP and change condom brand or size if they’re falling off his penis..?

Wishing for a contraception failure because you want a baby isn’t a great mindset, particularly if your dh would want you to terminate/doesn’t want more dc.

Kindofcrunchy · 16/11/2022 08:42

This has happened to me but with no resulting pregnancy. I also wanted to get pregnant so didn't get the map afterwards, not that it made any difference! There's no way of telling the outcome at this point but you should involve your partner in the decision really, especially if he's set on not having another.

CutiePatooties · 16/11/2022 09:33

I’m going to get the MAP.

I’m going to get the MAP.

OP posts:
SmileyClare · 16/11/2022 09:44

Have you used the MAP before? Check the guidelines and note you can get it free from some pharmacies (nhs) minor injury units, your gp, sexual health (gum) clinics or drop in centres.

You can also buy it from most pharmacies (£25- £35)

If the MAP isn’t suitable for you for whatever reason, a second form of emergency contraceptive is to have an IUD fitted.

Happy to advise further if needed x

CutiePatooties · 16/11/2022 10:18

@SmileyClare thank you so much! 💐

Levonelle one step is £13.85 at Tesco pharmacy. If it's been longer since the deed took place you may need the Ella One bit they are about £30

CutiePatooties · 16/11/2022 15:21

@Balajake thank you so much- going to get it sorted once dh gets home.
