Early bleed

Hi ladies, I'm feeling a little lost right now, i found out I was pregnant 1 week ago today then last Thursday evening what felt like a gush of discharge was actually red blood, I have had some slight cramping like I was going to come on my period but I had that already leading upto my expected period which was due on the same day as the bleed. Since that gush I had nothing the day after a tiny bit of brown discharge but all back to normal now with normal discharge. The doctor said I can do nothing apart from another test in 3 weeks!
I guess I feel lost because everything I read says "spotting" but this was 1 gush and nothing else, has anyone experienced this and everything be ok? I have 2 children already and never experienced spotting or bleeding before 😞 thank you in advance ladies ❤️

I had a gush of blood last Sunday at 6w3d pregnant, then nothing since- its now Saturday. No clots or anything? It seems nobody wants to know as I'm so early 😒

Since my post it happened again but only brown and after we'd had sex this was at 6 weeks I'm now 8weeks +1 the midwife says it's totally normal for some to bleed during pregnancy and because it was a one off and didn't continue for me not to worry, I felt the same as you totally lost as nobody wanted to know with me been so early I'm still getting strong positives and feel very much pregnant. I will be booking and early scan now just for reassurance, sending you a big hug and I hope it's a happy ending your you xx

Please try and not worry, though I do understand that is hard. With one of my pregnancies I bled as in a light period when I was around 9/10 weeks. Obviously told they could do nothing and will have to wait. My DC is now a lovely 9 year old. So try and relax a bleed is not uncommon. Best wishes
