I dont no if this is normal??

A week or so ago i was eating 24/7 and always hungry but the past week my appetite has just vanished, im barely eating 3 meals a day, i sometimes feel a bit nautious but no matter what i do i just cant bring myslef to eat.

Im about 5 weeks pg and i dont think this is normal as in my last pregnancy i was craving everything from about week 4 and I was always hungry.

Is something wrong?

No! I was exactly the same and only just getting mine back at 19 weeks. Even at that, I don't often fancy eating in the evening.

Midwife and Dr are both happy so nothing for me to be concerned about.

My second pregnancy (am 30wks) has been punctuated by episodes of this...second trimester especially. I would wander around Tesco searching for something that sparked an interest only to leave empty handed
My first pregnancy was pure greed from beginning to end, so I suppose it's just another random pregnancy thing! You won't have too much baby bulge to shift afterwards though (glass half full and all that).

so i shouldnt be worried that the babies not getting what he/she needs??

Im starting to feel bad that im not eating because i feel as tho im depriving this baby of essentially what it needs to grow in the most important time of development but i just dont want to eat!!

maybe try grazing, making sure you're drinking lots (maybe try smoothies to increase vitamin intake?)...I was getting freaked out by this throughout the first trimester and start of the second but somewhere around the middle, my appetite returned to normal. Now at 30 weeks I'm still not hungry all the time and have some food aversions, but tonight I almost ate my body weight in cookies. Baby will be fine but if you're really worried, check in with your midwife or GP.

I'm 11+6 today and wondering the very same question HelenCS. I was eating very well then MS hit now it's just constant nausea but appetite is G O N E. I fancy nothing. I do attempt to eat on a schedule, small amounts, mixed with proper things. Guess it's just a phase. Glad to not be alone.

I had that with DS1 particularly (not so pronounced in DS2). MS didn't last very long, thank goodness, but for the first 3 months, I didn't fancy eating much at all. Even if I felt hungry I would eat a couple of mouthfuls and that would be it I completely lost interest. I think my appetite returned at about 13 or 14 weeks.

Sounds perfectly normal to me. Just eat what you can. The baby is so tiny it will be able to get everything it needs, no problem. If you are worried take a pregnancy vitamin to make sure.

Congratulations on your pregnancy though!
