Hi everyone- I've got covid and am 18 weeks pregnant... has made me really worried / concerned it will harm the baby. I've had two miscarriages before and I'm nearly 40 so I'm a nervous wreck anyway... at the moment I've just got a headache and really irritating dry cough. Anyone have any advice? Or can calm me down? Thank you!

I had covid between around 17-18 weeks. I'm now 38 weeks and everything is absolutely fine with me and baby. It hasn't caused any harm or additional complications during the pregnancy, although it can be such a worry at the time.

Just look after yourself, keep fluids up, rest and recover. Also inform your midwife (as some wish to monitor you more closely) and if you have any worries at all, get in touch with your pregnancy assessment unit. They'd rather you played it safe.

Hope you feel better soon and congratulations on your pregnancy.
