Bleeding and cramps with positive and negative tests

Hi,

This is my first time posting and I’m currently having a bit of a meltdown so apologies for the long post.

I found out I was pregnant on Thursday (3 days ago) with a very faint line. I’ve taken numerous tests, a mix of brands too, and have had 5 positive tests and probably around the name negative. All my positives have been faint lines and include cheap tests and CB and FREE. I’m still a little worried I’m even pregnant because of the negatives. The last two tests I’ve taken (cheap ones last night and today) were negative and tonight I went to the toilet to find a little blood on my pants and have bad period like cramps.

My cycle has been very irregular the last 11 months so I’m not actually sure when my period would have been due or when I ovulated but I’m estimating that I would be around 5/6 weeks pregnant based on my last period.

This is my first pregnancy and as it’s only been a few days since I found out I haven’t even contacted my GP yet. I’m worried I may be having a chemical pregnancy or whether I was even pregnant at all. If anyone can let me know whether they’ve experienced anything like this or give me some advice that would be great. Thanks

Hi OP. I didn't want to read and run. I had this exact experience too. I would test positive then negative and obsessively tested over several days. It was never consistent. I would have been about 5/6 weeks. I didn't have any bleeding at that point.
I went to my booking appt (this was pre covid so had a booking appt at 6 weeks). The midwife sent me to EPAS and I had it confirmed that I'd miscarried. I started to bleed a few days later.
I know this isn't what you want to hear and others may come along with a more positive outcome.
Good luck OP Flowers

@reallyjustwantgin This is exactly what’s happening to me, I’m getting a little obsessive with testing as I’m so worried and today just made it worse with the bleeding.

Oh @Murphy0408 I totally get it, you can't help but keep testing. I tied myself up in knots with it.
Do you have a local EPAS unit that you can call for advice? My scans were not conclusive because of how early I was and because I didn't have any other symptoms they took bloods which were repeated after 48 hours which confirmed a reduction in HCG. The not knowing and waiting is awful but at least then you'll have spoken to someone. I feel for you OP, it's so hard x
