High blood pressure after birth

Hi all.

I had my baby on Monday and have now got high BP after birth (so weird it's always fine!) and have to go in the a drug called labetalol as it's not going down on its own.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Did it work and how long were you on it for?

Feel a bit scared it won't go back to normal.

Yeah I had to take that. BP went back to normal after a couple of weeks.

I had this in both of my previous pregnancies after my c sections when it had been fine during pregnancy. Think the dose was gradually reduced over a couple of weeks and didn’t have any problems afterwards.
