Hi guys I found out i am pregnant yesterday at 11dpo with a very faint line on a first response.

Yesterday evening I started bleeding a little or spotting, it was there when I wiped.

This morning I went to do another test and the wee was red in the cup and some in the toilet and there was little bits of tissue in there too.

The things is , the tests have gotten 10 x stronger like a lovely strong pink line and even a pregnant word on a digital. When yesterday they were BARELY Visable. Today they are really really strong you could see them
In a dark room. I'll attach a photo. Top is yesterday bottom two are today.

Could I still be pregnant I don't know what's happening . 😭

Has anyone had bleeding around this time and went on to have a healthy pregnancy? I will ring my doctor tomorrow to ask about bloods but has anyone had this. Please give reassurance if you have

I bled exactly when my period was due. It lasted for a day or so and was light. It was red blood. I also bled later on various occasions between about weeks 7 and 9. It was terrifying and obviously could have gone either way but I was lucky and DS is now nearly one.

Aw so happy to hear your baby was ok. 🥰💐❤️

When you say light would it have been there every time you wiped or went for a wee ? Mine is not much on the pad at all but there is when I wipe or look in the toilet

Yes every time for a day or so, but like you not much on a pad. I do hope it’s ok for you too

Just wanted to jump in and say I had red bleeding for a few days at 4 weeks and then another bleed at 10 weeks which turned into brown spotting on and off until 16 weeks!

Bleeding can be common in pregnancy and does not always mean the worse - the annoying part of all of this is the wait until EPU will scan you! Mine wouldn’t until 8 weeks so I paid privately and had one at 6 weeks. Best of luck to you and I hope you have a good outcome!

Thank you ❤️ would you say your bleeding was almost like a period.? Did it have any clots or tissue in it? I'm currently still bleeding, little crampy. Some bright red blood on the pad but it's mostly watery Consistency.

I don't know what to think 😔

The wait and unknown is so upsetting

Mine was a bit like a period yes but it didn’t have tissue in. Don’t despair just yet though - I have heard of women having bleeds with clots and tissue during a healthy pregnancy!

I was told by a midwife at EPU that I was only to worry if I was having very heavy bleeding (more than a period) combined with clots and terrible cramping (again more than with a typical a period).

There really is no set rule and no way of knowing: with my pregnancy that was unsuccessful (MMC at 10 weeks) I had no bleeding nor cramps. With my pregnancy which has progressed I had bleeding and cramps early on!

Obviously no one can tell you whether this will be a good outcome or not but the darkening of your tests is a good sign!

I do remember that two-week wait from 4 weeks for the early scan was excruciating when I was bleeding pretty much the whole time. I really feel your pain! Hang in there ❤️

CallItLoneliness · 14/11/2022 06:56

With my first I had two days of a normal period and then it stopped so I did a test (pregnant). Then three days later I started spotting, and spotted on and off for three weeks. He's 10 now.

MollieTD · 14/11/2022 07:00

I bled around 6 weeks very heavily, then lighter for 3 weeks afterwards. Long story short, it was due to a haematoma but there is no way that I thought an embryo could have survived that initial bleed - I had cramping, clots, pain, a gush of blood, everything that suggested miscarriage.

Went for a private scan just to confirm what I ‘knew’ so I could down a bottle of wine and cry and when he said there was a heartbeat it was almost unbelievable.

Everything crossed for a good outcome for you OP ❤️

Hi! Just wondering (if you don't mind telling) what happened? Currently experiencing the same symptoms at 4 weeks 5 days.

rubygiz · 25/02/2023 08:59

@MRWK I had bleeding at 5 weeks 6 weeks and 15 weeks I have a very wriggly baby and I am 31 weeks

MRWK · 25/02/2023 10:00

Was the bleeding heavy? Unfortunately I think mines too heavy to continue the pregnancy 😫

rubygiz · 09/03/2023 07:36

@MRWK yeah 15 weeks was it was quite scary how did you get on

How did everything turn out?

Just for a bit of reassurance for anyone else reading this.. I found out I was pregnant in December. It was a very faint line at 9dpo. Then I got a more obvious line the next day but not dark. The following day we had a weekend at the Christmas markets planned and were staying overnight in a hotel. We arrived at the hotel and I went to the toilet, aware that something was going on. What looked like my period had arrived. I was gutted, I was so sure it must be a chemical pregnancy. I was on looking at all the odds for it and couldn’t believe it happened to me. I had to go and buy pads and although the blood was drying dark it was definitely red to begin with and was covering the pad, not like a heavy period but I was sure it was day 1 of my period. I just had to sort of move on and was walking round the markets in a bit of a trance that weekend. It had taken us a good few months to conceive so the thought of starting from scratch was devastating. I didn’t cry though weirdly, I just sort of felt sorry for myself. Day 2 was similar again in the morning but I hadn’t bled much overnight so was then starting to wonder what was going on. My husband went out and got a pregnancy test and it was another line but not an awful lot darker than the faint ones I’d had. I just had to wait it out and hope for the best.

By that night the bleeding stopped and was very dark. I’m now 16 weeks pregnant and still slightly in shock that it was implantation bleeding and nothing else. Everything you see on implantation bleeding says it’s a few drops when you wipe, this was like a definite period! But all worked out again so try not to panic. It really is a waiting game unfortunately to see which way it’s going to go 🤞🏼

how many weeks were you in 3 weeks and similar thing happened to me

cmg91 · 22/03/2025 11:28

According to my app, I am 5 weeks, 6 days today. I found out on Thursday I was pregnant. Clearblue said 2-3 weeks. I started bleeding that night and it’s continuing now but only when I wipe. There are no clots and it’s ranging from pink to red. I went to the EPU and they scanned me but can’t see anything. Maybe it’s too early? Having bloods to check everything is okay.

I also bled for 4 days last week, which I thought was my period. I had an insanely strong opk on Thurs so decided to test.

That’s two bleed within 2 weeks so I’m very confused .

McBilbo · 23/03/2025 11:58

I found out I was pregnant at 6 weeks. At around 8 weeks I had spotting for about a week. Later found out it could be bleeding from implantation. I’m now almost 32 weeks.

speak to early pregnancy unit. Hope you’re ok

I had my HCG levels tested and they’re 377 but I have no idea how far along I am as my periods are irregular. Still testing positive.

They should ring back tomorrow with updated bloods.

I’ve had this twice, first pregnancy had on and off bleeding and all worked out fine and had a healthy pregnancy. Second pregnancy it was more like a period and it ended as a miscarriage at around 5.5 weeks.

hi, when you say on and off is it like spotting?
