Have a horrible cocktail of ailments relating to a fluey type bug (ok so prob just a nasty cold) and my midwife hasn't returned my calls from yesterday to ask her if its ok to take a lemsip sachet. She's useless!

NHS direct have said "speak to your midwife"

Don't want to book a dr's appointmet just to ask this, would feel silly!

It doesn't have ibuprofen, just paracetamol but also a decongestant. Do any of you know if its ok? I'm 17 weeks pg.

No the decongestant bit is not recommended

I think the sudafed in it is a problem - I have always thought you couldn't take it during pregnancy.

No Lemsip sadly! I tried to buy some when I had a really bad cold/cough over Christmas and the pharmacist said no. Just paracetamol I'm afraid. Hot water with lemon and honey (and ginger) is nice and helps a tiny bit. Have had so many bugs since becoming pregnant which is so unfair when can't take anything fun! Hope you feel better soon!
(Didn't use it as found out afterwards but you can use Vicks I think, which could help a bit if blocked up.)

Sainsbury's own brand do a hot lemon that is just with paracetomol, ie no decongestant. You should check with the in store pharmacy if there is one, but I think it'll be OK for you. I took it recently and I'm BFing.

HI
Boots own cold relief has only hot lemon and paracetamol which pharmacist said was fine.
