Pregnancy Vitamins

I think I may have noticed a trend with my Pregnacare vitamins. Whenever I take them, I feel even more nauseous than usual but I could be wrong!
2 questions, when do we stop with the vitamins?
Also, would it be okay to just buy Folic Acid? I'm almost 15 weeks.
Thanks x

You almost definitely need to take vitamin D too

Don't think you even need folic acid after 12 weeks. Vitamin D is recommended during pregnancy

@Juicylychee @dementedpixie @muddlingthrou

Thank you all so much. May just go and buy Vitamin D then! I do have a midwife appointment in a couple weeks but really can't stomach anymore of the Pregnacare vitamins!

@Sesamechick I was the same with pregnacare. I just took folic acid and vitamin d separately to get me through.

Pregnacare made me heave. I was fine just following the NHS folic acid and vitamin D

I didn't feel great on pregnacare, but I found Feel pregnancy vitamins through product testing on here. They are great, felt brand new on them (but be warned, they stink!). I have a promo code if you want 20% off I can DM you. But there are definitely lots of other options out there aside from pregnacare Smile

Oh sorry didn't read properly you aren't after recommendations Blush I took during pregnancy and still take now as I'm still breastfeeding and want the extra oomph!

FlyOnTheWall89 · 11/11/2022 06:28

I had exactly the same. I ditched pregnacare, spoke to my midwife and she confirmed babies tubes are developed post 12 weeks so I said if I wanted to simplify things, just take Vit D! Depending on your iron levels, you may need to supplement this too.

Also my nausea reduced dramatically after 16 weeks, so hope you feel better soon!
