Hi,
Ive been having some health troubles and Ive just found out I have high anti-cardiolipin, which would put me at high risk if I decide to have a child. Me and my husband arent at that point yet, because we are unsure about whether we want to have kids. A large part of that is I have chronic fatigue and pain.
However, we dont know why yet. Im still getting tests done and things, I have some immunoglobulins low and things like that, so Ive got to have tests done for other autoimmune issues, but it could just be that Ive got some low antibodies and anticardiolipin.
Anyway, this has kind of thrown us through a loop because we have had some hope lately that we might find some answers to my health problems and that might make things more manageable, making the decision to have a child slightly more appealing. Ive never been here before, but I guessed that there are probably other people here who have experienced this same thing or similar issues, so I wanted to ask about what your pregnancies and life afterwards were like in the case that you have this issue and had a child. My husband is kinda in the camp of "Id rather have you healthy and no kid, than a kid and you suffering", but Im not so sure that these are the only two options. I suppose I just want some points of view that go beyond the doctors leaflets.
Thanks so much in advance for your responses!
