Can anyone reassure me with a similar story?
Having a bit of a worry.
I had severe exhaustion for a week a week or so ago but now it’s gone and all I have are tender ish swollen boobs and needing to wee more than usual but I’m now sleeping through the night and not needing to wee at 3/4am like I was.
Really worried this is all a bad sign as not even had a whiff of sickness.
Saw a 122bmp heartbeat at 6+5 but really stressing my self out.

I'm the same. 8 weeks and had very few symptoms other than insatiable hunger to be honest!

I too had an early scan a week ago and saw a HB so not sure why I'm so concerned.

I had many more symptoms first time around!

Is this your first pregnancy?

NalaNana · 10/11/2022 17:47

My symptoms seemed to ease up around 7 and a half weeks including less nausea, boobs less sore, less tired. I had a scan at 8+5 and all was well with strong heartbeat! Symptoms returned around 9 weeks but it's normal to have some fluctuation, I'm not really sure why it happens!

Twizbe · 10/11/2022 17:57

Around 8/9 weeks the placenta starts taking over and symptoms can ease or become less frequent

PlantDoctor · 10/11/2022 17:59

Yep, I lost my symptoms around then too. Pregnancy tests were also fainter, which apparently is because the hormone levels are too high and overload the test. I was worried but all fine! She's now almost 3!

I had this with DS2. I was sick until 12 weeks with DS1 so expected the same, but only had mild nausea and swollen boobs for the first few weeks with DS2, then that faded off by about 9 weeks. No early scans back then (DS2 is now 24) so had to wait until 12 weeks.

Snap- 8 weeks here and don't feel pregnant at all but saw a heartbeat on an early scan last Sunday. Just counting down three weeks until the 12 weeks scan now as can't afford another private scan.

AndJustLikeThis · 10/11/2022 19:52

Try not to worry, I was exactly the same. To the point I took another pregnancy test. I think that period whilst you're waiting for the 3 month scan is a strange one. I didn't believe it was real until I saw my first scan 💙

@blueberry23 it’s my first pregnancy yes! Reassuring to hear others are going through it.

@NalaNana ill let you know if mine come back next week!

@Twizbe that makes sense!

@PlantDoctor that’s so relieving to hear!

@EmmaGrundyForPM this is number one which is why I think I’m freaking out as usually everyone says one is the worst no?

@Mayfield87 so good to hear we aren’t alone and other people have had positive experiences with no symptoms.

@AndJustLikeThis i think that is a lot of it! Once I hopefully get past 12 fingers crossed the anxiety tapers off!

I was the same in my first pregnancy, I had migraines on and off throughout and was a bit short of breath/tired the first few weeks but felt very 'not pregnant' very early on and all was fine.
Exactly the same this time, I've said this pregnancy I would never have known I was pregnant if it weren't for the fact we were trying and missed periods! No nausea at all with either. And this one I was so worried I literally felt completely normal I had private scans at 6 and 10 weeks. 29 weeks now and other than now heartburn and a bad back, still nothing really. Try and enjoy it - though I do know how worrying it is in the early days. I'm sure it's all ok x

Second stage of pregnancy

RugbyGirl1 · 11/11/2022 12:36

I'm 14 weeks today and had next to no symptoms throughout, apart from having no periods and being a bit tired (which could have been put down to work tbh). Would never have known if it hadn't been for a positive test! Had private scans at 6 and 8 weeks and my NHS 12 week scan and all fine - little bean was moving around all over the place!

As @fancyfrogs says, try and enjoy it - it can be a bit unerving. Symptoms reducing can be because the placenta starts to take over. All the best for the rest of your pregnancy 😊

Unfortunately symptoms are no reliable indication. I was being sick and nauseous for weeks after my miscarriage.
