Currently 27 almost 28 weeks and feel like I'm in labour but can't tell as it's my first baby. I've been having really bad diarrhoea, been having cramps period like cramps. I don't really know what to expect for labour or what I'm looking for I've either got food poisoning or I'm in early labour. Please help. So worried as I don't know what to be expecting.

I’d phone your midwife/ maternity unit.

My labour started with cramps and diarrhoea.

That sounds like Braxton Hicks

I’d phone your midwife/ maternity unit.

My labour started with cramps and diarrhoea.

I'll ring my midwife then and see what she recommends. How long did you have diarrhoea before you went into labour? It started last night and still continuing today. With cramps that seem to be getting a bit worse.

Hi OP
I had one instance of diarrhoea a few days before going into labour.
I knew I was in labour when I started getting contractions - mild and somewhat similar to period cramps, but they weren't constant like period cramps and they started coming in waves. I was 41 weeks exactly when I started early labour (baby was born 2 days later) so I was expecting something to happen soon.

I would contact your midwife or maternity unit given you're still quite early.

That sounds similar to what I'm experiencing, I've timed when the cramps happen and it's from 10-15 mins apart. I will definitely get in touch with hospital thanks for the reply :)
