Pregnant after re-starting pill??

Hi all!! I had a couple of months off the combined pill (microgynon 30) but decided to go back on it this month. I started it on Saturday evening (29/10) on cycle day 7, and have taken it every evening since. However, I had unprotected sex on 4/11 during the day, which only works out at 5 and a half days after starting (but 6 pills). Is there a chance I could be pregnant? It says I have to use extra protection for 7 days but can 1.5 days make that much difference? My cervix is also higher than usual right now and quite soft 👀 so it’s getting me a bit anxious!!! Help please!!

To my awareness, if you didn't restart it on the first day of your period then you should use extra contraception for the first seven days of restarting. So yes, it is entirely possible.

Ok, I had taken 6 tablets, but yeah, as you say, suppose it wasn’t the full 7. Just hoping one won’t make much of a difference 😬 xx

It may be worth considering the MAP if you still have time, fingers crossed for you.

Yes, there's a chance you could be pregnant. If you don't start the COCP within 5 days of a normal period you need to use additional protection for 7 days.
The MAP needs to be taken within 120hrs of UPSI, you may be able to get a copper coil fitted (but you would need to be fully assessed to check if you're suitable).
If you don't go for EC you'll need to do a pregnancy test 3 weeks after UPSI.

Why are you bumping? You've been given an answer from at least 2 people

Because I’d like to hear if anyone has been through similar and what the outcome was….
