Sneak peek???

Hi ya has anyone had any experience with the sneak peek test and was it correct? Thinking of doing one on Monday when I will be 8 weeks xx

If your talking about the blood test that confirms gender early on then, yes. Mine was correct :) I was 9 weeks when I did mine

I ordered the kit, it was very difficult to draw blood but I managed in the end. Unfortunately the results came back inconclusive so they gave me a refund and I decided to wait and book a scan at 16 weeks instead.

I looked at doing the kit last time but between a male partner and male dog in my house I thought the risk of contamination was really quite high. It seems any male dna at all can mess up the result. I am planning to go to a local clinic this time for one though, it’s £190 at abc4d but that includes a scan which is £60/70 on its own so really just over £100 for the test and it’s 99.9% if done in the clinic!

I previously thought about doing it then miscarried at 9 weeks, so I would wait until after the 12 week scan personally. Plus there's always a risk of contamination. I'd get a scan at 16 weeks - then you get to see baby as well
