Hey everyone,

Just posting on here as there seems to be better response than on the parenting forum. Anyone used Aptamil formula and got on well with it? I know all babies will respond different but would still love to hear

The ingredients in Aptamil are pretty much identical to those in Aldi Mamia, which is substantially cheaper.

Aptamil have very effective marketing I think.
Just because it is more expensive doesn't make it better than cheaper brands

Aptamil was fine but we switched to Cow and Gate because it was cheaper, Cow and Gate was also fine.

Aptamil is sooooo expensive now! It used to be £11 and cow and gate was £10. Now in my local shop its £14.50.
I also used to get two for £19 on the follow on milk and now its 2 for £28.
Not worth it in my opinion when they are all basically the same just aptamil has better marketing

I fully recommend cow and gate. I raised 3 babys on it and never had a problem. I looked into it for baby no1 and it is made in the same factory as aptamil they only have slightly different ingredients. I think aptamil is more expensive due to marketing.

Hi OP

Have a read of the first steps nutrition website. Gives lots of evidence based info about formula milk.

Even 10 years ago or so aptamil was more expensive than others, I brought up 2 daughters on cow and gate, no issues. May try Aldi brand this time as it's my local supermarket, so easy to get when needed. If not will be back on cow and gate. They are all same, unless you have baby with specific nutritional needs or health issues.
