So I had a miscarriage on 19th October, bled on and off for about a week and a half and now emotionally and physically feel absolutely fine and want to try again. I’m 100% ovulating at the moment and me and my bf did have sex a couple of days ago. As I know I’m ovulating I really want to have sex tonight but scared that it may cause another miscarriage if it’s before another cycle. I’ve read on the Tommys page and miscarriage charity that it’s ok but What do you all think?!

I’m really sorry for your loss. I had a miscarriage in June and was really
fortunately to get pregnant again in July before having a period, I’m currently 22 weeks and everything is looking good! The information in this area is super lacking, but I did a fair amount of reading at the time and as long as your doctor hasn’t told you to wait for medical reasons (eg complications with miscarriage, like retained tissue or difficult d&c) and as long as you aren’t still bleeding then there doesn’t seem to be a medical reason to wait (the only reason seems to be for dating purposes but since you are tracking your ovulation this reason isn’t compelling).

Good luck, I hope you get your rainbow 🌈

So sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I didn’t wait for another cycle after having one, I tracked ovulation as soon as I stopped bleeding and I’m now 23 weeks pregnant from that ovulation. Most people told me that emotionally I might not be ready, but I knew I wanted to be pregnant again asap. I think if you’re ready then do it 🤍

I personally wouldn't but that's because everything that could go wrong did - I ended up having an ectopic due to fluid caused by an infection post miscarriage which blocked my tube - it ruptured and I nearly died. I still remember by 18 month old screaming mummy as they literally ran me down the hospital corridors into surgery

But lots of women do and have perfectly healthy successful pregnancies

I had a MC in June (my third in a row) and then conceived again in July without a period in between. I'm now 18 weeks and this pregnancy seems to be going well. I think as long as you are fine following the mc, and you have had a negative pregnancy test, no signs of infection/ complications, then it should be ok. There are never any guarantees but if you feel ready you shouldn't fear it.... so sorry for your loss and hope that you conceive again soon!x

It's fine, although I'd make sure you have a negative pregnancy test first so you know any future positive is a new pregnancy.
