Hi girlies would someone help me please in October for one day I had a bleed I thought nothing of it thought it was my regular period and today I took a test and boom it says 3+ weeks could it have been mistaken for period and it was implantation bleeding if so how far along would I be x

It’s highly unlikely that it’s a false positive, those are very rare (particularly as you got 3+ weeks). The 3+ on the test means you are at least 5 weeks pregnant. You date the pregnancy from the first day of your last period… the one day in October sounds like it could have been implantation bleeding as pretty short for a period but I guess depends on when in October it was (unless it was right at the beginning of October it’s unlikely to be your period because the test wouldn’t already be showing 3+). So if you can rule that out then go from the first date of your last full period.

But really the most certain way to tell is with an early dating scan.

Thankyou it was a complete shock because I had a miscarriage in early August had a completely normal period in September and then October 10th bled for a day it was little bit heavy but bright pink so I thought it was my period and thought nothing of it xx

In which case congratulations :) Not sure where you’re based but if in the UK see if your local Pregnancy Unit will give you an early scan to check dates…. the 3+ on the pregnancy test suggests that Oct 10th bleed was implantation rather than period (which means that you’d use the first day of your September period to calculate how far along you are) but to be honest it’s so close it really is hard to tell and scan will be the most accurate way.

I’m really sorry for your previous loss, I had a miscarriage in June and lucky to be pregnancy again as well so I know how hard pregnancy after loss can be. I’m 22 weeks now and it does get easier. I hope it works out for you 🌈
