Still weigh the same as I did before I was pregnant - 28 weeks

Hi. I am currently 28 weeks and still weigh the same as I did before I was pregnant. My weight decreased during the first trimester (a few pounds) and went up slightly in my second trimester (a few pounds) but is now back to about where it was before I was pregnant. I haven’t had any sickness during my pregnant. I have a high BMI so am not too concerned and thinking maybe the weight gain will come now I’ve hit the third trimester. Anyone else experienced this and not gained extra weight and then had any complications because of this? I am not worried about gaining weight, only weighing myself every few weeks to keep an eye and I’d say I am eating about the same as I was before I fell pregnant.

As long as you're showing fine for iron levels etc, and the baby's growth is on track, you're fine.

Some women gain significant amounts, others lose weight, others stay the same.

I gained 12lbs in 42 weeks with DS1 and 14lbs in 39 weeks with DS2 and in both cases was back to my start weight two weeks after birth. (Not a brag, I gained a lot of weight in the months after!)

I wouldn't worry for now.

I'm 33 weeks and a stone under when I found out I was pregnant. Not trying to lose weight just conscious of eating veg and having less of an appetite.
