Trying to conceive

Hi All

We have been trying to conceive for around 8 months I sadly had a miscarriage in April

My cycles range from between 32-36 days.

I am on day 36 with no period (nor any sign of period coming)

I took a clear blue early sensitive pregnancy test on day 34 (as my Flo app stated by period was 1 day late) this was negative.

I just wanted to know if anyone has used the early pregnancy tests and then later had a positive pregnancy

I'm a bit in a confusion if i tested too early or not? Are they really that sensitive?

Thank you

I would expect one of the sensitive tests to show a positive by now if you were pregnant. Unless you ovulated very late this cycle and thus aren't that many dpo?

It sounds like your periods are a bit irregular. Functionally this means your ovulation window is irregular, so you don't know what dpo you are. Flo is just guessing based on past cycles as it has no other data. If you were pregnant and had ovulated at the same time as prev cycles your test would have 100% picked it up at this stage.

Thank you for the advice!
I did do ovulation tests (clear blue) and I had my static smile on day cycle day 22

Thank you I thought that would be the case
I should have added that I ovulated cycle day 22

@tax19 if you ovulate reliably, that would be either the day of peak LH or up to 48hrs after. So you are currently 12-14dpo, then your period isn't late yet. It's only really late at 16dpo. You tested at 8-10dpo. Maybe worth testing again as 8dpo is early to test. That said, I would still expect a clearblue early or a FRER to show a line at that point.

Worth stating that ovulation tests only show your body is trying to ovulate, not that it's actually managed. However, given your cycles are relatively regular I'm sure you are.

Thank you that's really helpful, I'm finding it a bit of a minefield.
