Is this a miscarriage?

Yesterday I got some brown mucus like discharge. This morning I have a headache, breasts no longer tender and the discharge is getting thinner and lighter/pinker. It feels like I'm getting my period. I'm 8 weeks, 3rd pregnancy. The 2 pregnancies before were problem free. This pregnancy has beeen much like the last 2, no sickness, a bit tired, but generally I've felt good, maybe too good! But I put that down to being in better shape this time around. I'm waiting on the EPU to call me. Would they give me a scan? The worry is making me sick. I feel it's all over, I'm devastated. Has anyone experienced this and it's been ok?

i'm sorry you're worrying and going through this. to be honest, those sound like relatively normal pregnancy symptoms, however every pregnancy and miscarriage is different so no one hear can tell you any more. However, discharge and a little bleeding is not unusual even in a healthy pregnancy and it is definitely normal for symptoms to ebb and flow.

i also just wanted to warn you to brace yourself. the EPU may not be interested in providing a scan as you're not bleeding and even if they do, it may not immediately give you an answer, they may want you to come back in a few or so to check progress. They may also offer to do a 48h HCG test, where they'll test your blood today and in 48 hours to see if it's doubling appropriately. Unfortunately, miscarriage cannot be confirmed as quickly as pregnancty and it results in this horrible limbo land.

Hoping you have good support system and that this is just a little blip in your pregnancy which goes on smoothly and uneventfully.

@ZoeQ90 Thank you for your reply. I am hoping it is just normal but I am preparing myself for the worst. The midwife has called me back and they're getting me into today for some type of scan, so hopefully that will let me know what's going on one way or the other.

Just in case anyone reads. It was an anembroyonic pregnancy.

I'm so sorry @SidSparrow. It's devastating. I had two miscarriages inbetween DC1 and DC2. Look after yourself and take time to grieve.
