What do stretch marks do in second pregnancy?

Hi.

just wondered if anyone knows what stretch marks do in second pregnancy. I have a lot from my first baby, unluckily! But hey that’s just the case sometimes isn’t it.

just don’t know what to expect this time around! Will they go red again? Will I get new stretch marks? Will I get less because the skins already stretched?

anyone know or have experience?

thanks :)

I don't think with this pregnancy I gained many more (second pregnancy but twin pregnancy) so a bit wider than I was with DS.

They went purple and itchy for a while.

I got zero with DC1, 3 tiny ones with DC2 and zero extra with DC3. So you might not get any more.

I got them basically in the same place as the ones from my first pregnancy, so it didn't really look any worse afterwards.

I’m 24 weeks and I have stretch marks appearing in a different place to last time. First was a DD and this is a DS so I assume I am carrying differently

I didn't get any more in my second.

I am 36 weeks pregnant with no 2 but have hardly any. I got loads the last time, but even they are all still silver. DC1 seems to have done a grand job of stretching me!

I didn’t get anymore with my second. 34 weeks pregnant with my third and so far still the same 😊

I got hundreds with first DC, then about 3 more on the top of my bump with DC2 a year later.
7 years later with DC3 at 38 weeks and no new ones at all so far! To be fair my skin was stretched beyond belief with DC1 so much that the subsequent pregnancies haven't even felt like my belly skin has stretched taught at all.

Thanks everybody! Hopefully I won’t get too many more then. I’m 26 weeks and none yet 🤞
