Food - pregnant

So I’ve not got much appetite since being pregnant but I’ve tried making sure I eat as much good stuff as I can! The problem is I just don’t feel like what I’m eating is sufficient enough for baby… like today I’ve had

breakfast - cereal, smoothie, Actimel

lunch - jacket potato beans and cheese
dinner - plain pasta, grated cheese and brocolli

snacks - two apples, crisps and another bowl of cereal.

I used to have ED so I struggle a lot on what to eat that’s good for baby.. can someone reassure me?

Sounds fine to me.

Sounds fine to me. Are you taking a PG vitamin as well?

Firsttimemum27weeks · 03/11/2022 17:48

Yes taking the pregnacare multivitamin!
I think I was just worried on the lack of good stuff like my dinner my partner said was pointless!

I'm 35 weeks with my third and what you've said there is probably more than I've had in 2 days as my appetite has completely died! 😂

Sounds great, I ate nothing for 8 months as had horrendous sickness and have a very healthy baby.

Water water and more water and vitamins

You are doing great, ignore your partner

Thank you all, I get super worried as I had bad nutrition before!
Although I have just started feeling nauseous after the pasta and broccoli I feel like it could of been the olive oil I added🥲

You'll both be fine. I lost weight with DC1 I vomited that much and I ate so many minty biscuits with DC2 we joked that she'd be mint flavoured when she born Grin

Just keep taking the PG vitamins and you'll both be fine Wink

Sounds good to me! I'm 32 weeks and eating less than that at the mo as I feel so nauseous. I know it can be hard as we're given so many messages about what we should be eating when pregnant, but I'm a big fan of listening to what your body is telling you

Babies are like leeches, they will take all the goodness and you get the leftovers :) Obviously I’m being a bit flippant, but there’s truth to it. I had terrible sickness and went off of everything, even now postpartum some foods still give me the ick! I ate only beige for most of the first half and then craved salt and fat in the second half. I was told by the midwives to just go with it. I now have a healthy baby, born bang on her due date and weighing a healthy weight.
