9 weeks pregnant, don't see a midwife until next week. I am SO constipated it hurts to sit and I have no appetite. Is there medication I can take please? I'm feeling heavy, bloated and very unattractive right now (and they say pregnancy is beautiful 😂).

Sorry tmi, I am going to the toilet but only in very small amounts 🫣

Glycerine suppositories may be best as it doesn't involve ingesting medication.

My nana used these when being treated for cancer and couldn't use other meds

Lactulose and glycerin suppositories. It's messy but it'll get the job done

Plums and prune juice aren't bad ideas if you don't want to go for medication right away!

Glycerine suppositories or lactulose are safe in pregnancy, you could ask a pharmacist for advice, lactulose gave me horrible stomach cramps though. Natural remedies such as stewed fruit, fruit juices with pulp, prunes and increasing fibre can help.

I had this. Was horrible. I recommend Movicol/Laxido although it might need a GP prescription during pregnancy. I also used glycerine suppositories which were pretty grim but they worked. Sympathies! Hope you feel better soon.

Glycerin suppositories
Movicol, lots of it.

Both fine in pregnancy, just get over the counter.
