5w 2d pregnant and no yolk sack

Hi everyone,

I just had my first scan today and feeling a bit anxious.

LMP was 26th of September and I think I ovulated on the 9th or 10th of October, so I should be around 5w 2d. My cycle is 26 days.

My obgyn could see the gestational sack, but no yolk sac. He said it could either be too early or it's not a good news.

I have a second scan next week and blood test tomorrow & on Monday to check HCG levels.

Has anyone been through the same? Any positive stories?

I had one at 5+1 and only saw the gestational sac and no yolk sac. I had another one exactly a week later and saw a little embryo with a heartbeat. A week can make a huge difference.

Do you know by any chance what your hcg levels were?

I just got mine back from this morning (so day after my scan with no yolk sac) and my levels were at 16,000. Trying not to google too much!

I had the same. Just a sac at 5+2, went back a week and saw a heartbeat. I can't remember my hcg levels now but I know they were increasing by the expected amount.
