Anyone given birth with a prolapse ?

This is my second pregnancy and I have developed a prolapse half way through. Didn't have it with my first or after my first it's only developed now.

Midwifes aren't concerned but it looks terrible. I don't know what to do! They said they can see my vagina wall. It's really scaring me now about giving birth. Has anyone else had this? It looks terrible to me as I have never seen anything like this before. I am 34 weeks pregnant.

Yes had last 3 vaginal deliveries with a rectocele (back wall vagina prolapse). But have great bladder and sex life unaffected so no plans to change anything about it.
As part of my job I examine a lot of vaginas and vulvas and so know I’m not abnormal.

Avoid constipation. Do your pelvic floor exercises. Surgeons do “repairs” but personally I’d be concerned I’d risk my perfectly functioning (but different to previous looking) body for no good reason. However I am about 15 years ahead of you and so have time to consider all.

It won’t affect giving birth!

@GoldIsMyBirthMetal sorry to hijack but did your rectocyle get worse after each birth or stay the same?

My consultant has offered Caesarian but I would rather not!

It stayed the same, it was always a bit worse during pregnancy and post partum but has remained the same (youngest and last is now 7 years old).
