I‘m 23 + 3 and have started to get frequent dizzy and hot spells where I feel like I’m going to pass out. I did actually faint once, luckily I was at work (I work in a hospital) and was checked over and told that baby was absolutely fine but that I had low blood sugar and blood pressure. They didn’t make any recommendations other than that I make sure I’m eating and drinking plenty enough.

I try to drink lots of water throughout the day and have one cup of tea in the morning, then non-caffeinated herbal teas sometimes. I usually have toast for a quick breakfast and then have a cereal bar as a morning snack at work and sometimes a banana/other fruit, I like to have a big lunch like a pasta bake or leftovers from tea the night before, so I feel like I’m eating plenty through the day.

I googled low blood sugar and saw recommendations for drinking fizzy drinks/eating biscuits etc., I’m trying to eat as healthily as I can during my pregnancy so just wondered is there anything else I should be eating/drinking to stop this happening?

I think since you're still getting these spells then you should be making a GP appointment to get checked out.

It could be that your iron is low, I'm guessing it hasn't been checked since booking in bloods ?

I used to get this and in my case it was low blood pressure, apparently eating something salty helps.
