Hi guys,
I'm 16 weeks pregnant and still taking 400mg of folic acid as advised by my doctor. I've read that you should stop taking after 12 weeks - does anyone have any advice on this? Am I doing harm to the baby? Thank you all xx

You can still keep taking it, you're not doing any harm at all. It's just more important to take it in the first trimester, especially in the very early weeks.

I kept taking it, still am since it's part of my pre- and postnatal vitamins.

No harm in taking it, I took the higher dose folic acid too right up to 20 week mark where my midwife then told me to stop 😊
