Like picked onions? I'm 26 weeks.

My underwear keep stinking of Monster Munch. When I sit down to wee the smell is just so strong. I've been trying to figure out what it smells like and then it hit me and now I can't unnotice

I'm scared to say this non anonymously so before I humiliate myself to my midwife.. anyone have some wisdom here? Do I panic?

I think part of getting pregnant is saying goodbye to all the dignity you have 😂 I unfortunately don't have any answers for you but didn't want to read and run. Hope you get to the bottom of it... could it be the usual suspects.. thrush? Or BV? Good luck 😁 xx

You don't need to panic but do say to your midwife as there's a few things they'll want to rule out such as infection etc. Sometimes it's simply hormonal changes or changes to diet etc or could be bv but they'll want to make sure all is fine. When are you next due to provide a urine sample for testing?

All I can offer is that I had a weird sweet/sour smell once and it turned out I forgot a tampon up there (!) and went on antibiotics to sort it. That's probably not the case for you but do get checked by your GP in case of infection by another cause

I don't have any advice other than to tell your midwife and get swabbed just in case...

....but pickledonionfoof is an absolutely fab username 😂

This happened to me too!! It made me feel soooo sick. I couldn't find anything online about it being a symptom of pregnancy, it was only when I saw a midwife who was also pregnant and she made a comment about the fact that none of her friends who had had children had told her that she would smell different down there that I realised it wasn't just me. I'm now 34 weeks and the smell has died down thankfully, but it's only in the last few weeks that I've noticed I can't smell it as much.
