Bleeding in pregnancy

Hi everyone,

I am pregnant for the second time approx 7 weeks along. I’ve been bleeding for nearly 3 weeks now. It started out as a bit of spotting but is gradually getting heavier and today it has almost filled a night time pad. I went for a scan last week and saw a heartbeat and a small haematoma which the sonographer didn’t seem concerned about at all.
I can’t help but feel this isn’t going well since the bleeding continues to get heavier each day.

I wondered if any of you have been through the same thing and what the outcome was please? I know there’s no way of predicting it but it feels good to talk.

Thanks x

What was the outcome @Jessiejessiecat? hopefully good news xx

Hi, thanks for answering 😊. It is still continuing! I’m going to chat to the midwife on Wednesday. I went for a private scan last week and she said I have a large yolk sac and to mention that too.
I feel pregnant and sick so staying open minded but the uncertainty isn’t fun! xx

Had this twice, more blood than you describe, both pregnancies successful.

Yes, the first time I think at 10 w, the second time at 18w.

Sadly I had a delayed mc. It wasn’t clear if the continued bleeding was related or not, but after experiencing the mc it was very different to the type of bleeding I had been having for the previous weeks.
