Hi,
Im 6 weeks pregnant and started bleeding last Tuesday night, period like bleeding, it’s never been really heavy, normally two pads a day. I’m still bleeding now but much lighter like the end of a period.
I Rang the midwife on Wednesday who said to go to A&E, I then rang the early pregnancy unit at the hospital and they said they wouldn’t see me as I wasn’t bleeding a lot. and that 60% of women bleed in pregnancy. So I didn’t go to A&E.
So now I’m in limbo, what do you think I should do?
should I call the midwife again?
Ive got a scan booked but in 5 weeks time, I thought about booking a private one but not sure I can afford £50.
Thanks

Hi.
Very sorry you're going through this. I don't think so much bleeding can be a good sign... in my experience, it was a miscarriage. Did you take any test since the bleeding to see if the line is lighter?
Take care and best thoughts.

Hey, aw it’s never nice when you experience bleeding in pregnancy whether it’s light or heavy :-(

in my experience, red blood was a sign of miscarriage on 2 different occasions. I went to A&E the last time and they confirmed it was likely to be a miscarriage and to just go home and rest. They advised me to take a test at 8 weeks (i was 5 weeks pregnant) at the time & if I was still showing as pregnant then I needed to be referred to the early pregnancy unit.

I hope everything is ok for you <3
