Rant

Just a little rant. I feel so upset and just down, been struggling with sciatica pain for a few weeks now and it's not getting any better. I'm trying to keep active by doing as much as I can but it's starting to really annoy me now as it seems to be only me doing all the cleaning, shopping and basic stuff. I know it's simple and easy to do but I'm in a lot of pain and just feel exhausted now. I don't know if it's maybe the tiredness coming back as in 26 weeks pregnant but I've just started to feel really down and angry over nothing. I know there's nothing anyone can really reply to this lol just felt like getting it off my chest. How's everyone feeling in their pregnancy?

Just wish I had someone to talk to though it seems like no one else understands as I'm the only person in my friend group and family that's pregnant so I don't know who to talk to. Can't talk to my bf as he just don't seem understanding either.

Sorry to hear. Pregnancy can feel very lonely if no one around you understands. Have you spoken with your midwife about the sciatica pain? If so, what did they recommend? They could refer you for physio?

You say you are the only one doing the cleaning, shopping etc. who do you live with? Can’t you ask them to help especially as you are in pain? You really should be trying to take it easy and listen to your body. If you are exhausted you must rest. The cleaning and everything else can wait. The feeling down and angry is likely to be hormone related especially if you are feeling tired. I would speak to your midwife if it is effecting you day to day.

This might help if you haven’t already looked:

Yeah I did mention it to her, tried everything she mentioned and hasn't helped at all. I rang my gp and they referred me to Physio therapist but she didn't know I was pregnant until she read my notes so said not to do any of the exercises she sent me and to just use a hot water bottle. I don't know what else to do as I have tried everything I can possibly think of. I think I'm just in one of those moods where everything pisses you off so needed to rant lol. Still not feeling great today hope tomorrow I feel better :)

You need your DP to step up and help. Have you asked him to help? Also talk to your midwife about your low mood. This point in pregnancy is the beginning of the third trimester and things get hard again from now on for a lot of people. You shouldn't be taking care of the house alone, it sets a bad precedent for when the baby is here.
