Do dye stealers really mean anything ?

I’m testing everyday which I know I shouldn’t but it’s for my own comfort until my scan on the 11th November.
I feel new to all this even though I already have a child but it seems so long ago as I was so young back then
Do dye stealers really mean anything?
My bottom test seems equally as dark as the control line but stands out a bit more just the slightest, not a dye stealer like I see with some others but?

I'm not sure in all honesty.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. My tests looked like this from when I first tested and I'm now 31+1 with DCDA twins Smile.

Hi op, I started doing this when I first got pregnant, took about a million tests and drove myself absolutely crazy worrying about any difference between the colours of the lines or how far along it was telling me I was... I ended up having to stop and just try to take it day by day which was really hard because I had lots of scares at the start. I would say as long as its showing positive then its positive try not to read into it any more than that because your hormone levels will fluctuate daily and you will stress yourself out over it when it looks like all is going to plan. Could you limit to one test a week even? Or if you've had previous loss and its causing you this much distress ring your epau and ask them for an early scan because your anxiety is through the roof.

I drove myself crazy also! Colour of tests culd be anything
to the point iv never seen or heard of a due stealer
and mine was crazy light control test that I thought id got a dodgey wrong way test and i was miscarry until i searched in here

i stopped testing after that.

Put the tests away!

This pregnancy I was convinced I was having a chemical as my tests just weren't really progressing. I got a bfp at 10dpo on a clear blue and it was very strong but obviously would have totally broken the bank so I tested daily with the early sign tests and I'm not kidding, although I could see a faint line at the 3 minute mark, they stayed so faint and only darkened when left for hours. The line barely even showed up in the £1 freedom tests. I obsessed and resigned myself that it must be a chemical. I tested up until 18 dpo I think and never got even close to a dye stealer and YouTube videos of people with the same only told sad stories.

Here I am 14 weeks pregnant. Not a chemical at all. Those tests will do nothing but tell you you're pregnant and then drive you mad if you let them! Step away from the tests!

I've attached a pic of my tests up to 16 dpo for reference - and bear in mind the pic would have been taken hours after doing the tests as like I said at the 3 min mark they were sometimes still squinters!

Can I ask how you got on? I’ve just taken a FRER and the dye steal looks crazy. I think I am approx 4+3.

Unfortunately it ended in a miscarriage for me but your test looks amazing! I haven't seen a dye stealer like that before 🥰 congratulations!!

@Megan993 I’m so sorry: miscarriages are so hard. I had one in sept and living on a knife edge since finding out this week. The dye steal is still as crazy this morning. No idea if it means anything or not! Take care x
