Are HCG bloods more reliant than urine tests?

I had my first HCG on Thursday (18dpo) at 639. Back on Tuesday for repeat and I need it to be close to 4000. After RPL I'm very nervous.

The clearblue digital are still.reading 2-3 weeks and I'm so worried if they don't change to 3+ by Monday morning it's game over.

Will a blood test be more sensitive?

Yes of course - the blood test is quantitative and accurate.
Don't rely on those bloody digis - too many variables.

The digitals are just an estimate and your results can very quite significantly based on lots of factors (urine dilution and time of day etc.) Plus, HCG roughly doubles every two days so you so it’s unlikely that you’re at even 2000 today. 3+ digitals requires 2753 so it’s all seeming very normal and on track. Try to stay positive as, chances are, bloods will come back normal and everything will be fine. Good luck! 😊

Hi, I did a digital clearblue pregnancy test last week on Monday (I’m late on my period, I was spotting 2 days before my expected period and I’m having pregnancy symptoms) and the test said pregnant 1-2 weeks, I’ve been testing after the positive test and they are coming back as negative. This is really stressing me as I don’t know what’s going on, I have a midwife appointment in 2 weeks and my midwife said It could be my Hcg levels. Anyone had this before?
thanks:)

Are you only using clear blue digital tests @Shinah2002? They’re not as sensitive as some others, First Response Early Response, for example. And are you testing first thing in the morning with each one?

It could be that your urine was more concentrated for that first test compared to the others. Or it could be your HCG isn’t strong enough yet or is dropping. If it’s dropping that’s unfortunately usually indicative of a chemical pregnancy.

My advice would be:
Leave it 48hrs between each test.
Use FMU for each test.
Swap to tests with lines (pink lines are often thought of as more reliable).
