Cramps in early pregnancy

So I'm currently 5 weeks pregnant with my first, I've always wanted to be a mam and I'm so excited! I'm really nervous and anxious though as for the past week I've had cramps on and off and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this and still had a normal pregnancy? Is it worth paying for a early 6 week scan? Thanks for your help and support!!

Yep, completely normal!
Have a look at our June 2023 babies forum it’s constantly mentioned.
Mine have got less now 6+3 but still get them intermittently in the night!

I'm glad there normal! I'm the first one out of my friends to get pregnant so I don't know what's normal and what isn't! Thanks xx

Yes normal, mine last 3 weeks with DS1.
No, extra scans are a waste of money and, unless performed by an obstetrician, of no medical value. I had one at 10w because we wanted a scan photo to tell our family at Christmas, my 12 week scan was on 28 December. I wouldn’t have got one otherwise, it didn’t reassure me at all. I was still as anxious and because they only check for a heartbeat rather than anything else I didn’t know if my baby was healthy.
