Hello all, I wonder if anyone can help...a friend of a friend is pg but has been advised that it is now no longer standard practice to offer amnios (or CVSs I guess) to older women (she is 40) if the results of the nuchal fold scan are OK. Has anyone else been told the same thing? Thanks

The nuchal fold scan results combined with a blood test should give an accurate result so I suppose there is no point in doing an invasive procedure unless it is really nessecary.
