Faint positive, then Negative test, Late AF

Hi all! Please give me some advice or comfort or anything I’m going crazy…

I posted here a few weeks ago of a very faint positive I got on a urine test. I got two faint positives within the same hour, same brand but different batches (they are hospital tests!) I will insert the photo.

2 hours later a boots test was neg, I figure it’s just too early, but blood test was negative that same day. However doc told me I was probably preg due to having 2 positive tests regardless of the negatives after. But blood Hcg said <1, so obviously was not pregnant. However that was 7-8dpo, I am now 4 days late AF, it felt like she is coming yesterday morning but nothing since. I’m usually 28 days like clockwork and this is day 33. I’m almost certain I’m not pregnant, but I’m also so confused as to how I would have gotten not one but two false positives from hospital tests. I have no idea what’s happening, I almost wish AF would just show so I can move on!! Has this happened anyone else??

ps- I figured it would have been a chemical but it went from positive to negative in 2 hours which would be so quick and I’ve not had any bleeding since.

pic is one of the two positives (they looked the same!)

Wait, so you've only done two tests at 7/8 dpo but none since?

Your urine may have been weaker by the third test and shown a negative .... can you do a test now?

I took one at about 11 or 12 dpo, after the negative blood test (stupidly) I saw a shadow but considered it negative because If the first positive was positive it would have been darker by then

TBH aid take one more now and check. ( as in now you're late) sometimes the stress of not starting but wondering holds it off, once you see a negative your period may start/ it's quite common ... or else you'll get a positive....!

If you're still negative and don't get a period for weeks on end speak to GP. But I think that's unlikely. Unfortunately our bodies mess around a bit when we're putting it under a spotlight! Good luck 🤞🏼

Also different tests will show various results in terms of 'dark' lines and it depends on how strong the hcg is in that particular urine. You've had three positive results, that's quite unusual for it to be wrong!

Yes so unusual for one false positive let alone two or more but all tests after that have been negative (or a barely there shadow, could be indents i don’t know). I think I’ll do one in the morning and just give up, I’m wrecking my own head!

I'd def do one more since you're past your due date and like I say you may well come on straight after - stress definitely holds it off

Any development?
