5 weeks pregnant bleeding

Hi everyone I just wanted to make a post to get some feedback. I am 5wks 2days pregnant today. Yesterday I noticed some light pink discharge. I noticed the pink turned to brown and dark red, I even saw a small blood clot. I was for sure I was miscarrying because I cramped all night long until the morning. I went to the ER just to be safe they saw the gestational sac. They didn’t see the yolk sac or the fetal pole. My HCG measured 9,000. I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience. Should i be worried. Any comments are appreciated

Hi, sorry you're experiencing bleeding. So stressful! It could be a whole host of things. I had three big bleeds in weeks 4, 5 and 6 with cramping. Little bean clung on through it all though. I have a subchorionic haemorrhage that has now nearly gone and will likely resolve itself soon.

It's good they saw your pregnancy is in the right place, that already rules out ectopic. Unfortunately all you can do is wait at this stage and if you bleed again, go back to your EPU for reassured.
At 5 weeks they're unlikely to see anything more than a gestational sac. And your HCG levels are high so that's good.

Hi @liloandstitches I’m sorry to hear you had bleeding, it makes you so anxious and helpless doesn’t it. I am in the same situation now, 5 weeks and have had light pink blood when wiping which is sometimes also brown-ish. No cramping but just waiting worrying. I really hope you had some good news 🤞🏼

How are you getting on @IVFGotThis05 ? I’m also having the same at exactly 5 weeks 4 days and I’ve just had a small clot so expecting the worst. Got to go in for a blood test tomorrow to make sure my levels are rising. This is torture isn’t it x hope you’re ok

@Avocado098 Hi oh no I hope your doing okay, I'm sorry I've only just seen this! For me everything was okay, I'm currently 17 weeks pregnant with twins!!

Mine lasted until 7 weeks and then I had another little showing at around 11 weeks but maybe only once x
