Heartburn hacks??!

Hello,

I’m only half way through this pregnancy and the heartburn is constant. I didn't have this with DD1! Any tips that worked for you would be greatly appreciated!

Gaviscon etc did a soy nothing for me. Second time around I found out the gp cld have given me something I was totally unaware. So as soon as it started just after 20wks I called up and got a prescription and then when it ran out he gave me enough to cover my whole pregnancy 👍 it was brilliant stuff!

I had it so bad in my first 3 pregnancies to the point of vomiting multiple times a day until dc 3 arrived. Nothing, diet, gaviscon, rennie etc made any difference.

Read on here that GPS would prescribe omeprazole in my 4th pregnancy, so asked. And it completely removed the acid. Totally changed my quality of life. I had it from about 6wks with pregnancy 5.

Omeprazole 20mg once a day prescribed by the GP, miracle cure! Please don’t suffer, just ask them.
I got to the point where I didn’t want to eat/was scared to eat because I knew it would set it off.
It’s very hard to avoid certain foods when you may already be struggling with what you can stomach.

It honestly is!! Been taking it for about 4 days now and my acid has totally gone, absolutely amazing. I was eating around 100 of those little minty chalk tablets a day before to try control it 😂
