Does progression lines matter ?

I’ve been testing everyday since Friday with cheapies. I did have a small bleed for one day (which I am hoping was implantation & nothing more🤞🏼) and even after my bleed the line was darker, but only a bit.
I’ve added a photo of all my cheap strip tests for an example.
I have tested with clear blue digital and it says pregnant.
I did test with frer too.
I am a bag of nerves on a good day, my anxiety is through the roof right now I just don’t want to have another chemical🤞🏼
I’m focusing too much on how dark/light the lines are but does that really matter?

How many days post ovulation are you? Is that one test per morning urine?

The tests can be misleading as it depends on the concentration of your urine, and also the tests used. I must admit I did monitor progress as I too had a miscarriage prior, I will try and find the photo and attach!

I'm currently 12dpo, todays test is the boots one which was fmu and the frer is todays second wee of the day.
It's so hard not to track the progress of the lines isn't it? I had a chemical earlier this year, also had a bleed Saturday so I'm just worrying so much right now x

I’m 12dpo today too and had 2 chemicals in the last three months so I’m a baby of nerves. My progression in chemicals has always faded, so whilst I know testing doesn’t change the outcome, I feel I need to test to know where I stand. I think they say to use the same brand though. This is my 11dpo and 12 dpo test done this morning. Fingers crossed for us both xx

I'm the same, I can't get an appointment with my gp for a few weeks so I feel like my only comfort is to test to see if there's any changes.
Your test looks nice and dark! Hoping this is it for us🤞🏼 xx

I don't think it does. I had ultra strong positives right up until my scan showed Baby hadn't grown from the last scan 2 weeks earlier and there was still no heartbeat. Someone who was pregnant the same time as me had a much fainted test and went on to have a successful pregnancy.

I've just had my 4th chemical pregnancy in a row 😔 my test lines looked similar to yours for a week before they turned negative and I started bleeding. I dod have a couple of stronger lines in between. I'm not trying to worry you as there is time for yours to darken if you are only 12dpo, I was 14dpo when I got my first positive and my lines were still faint

Mydoggosarethebest · 25/10/2022 16:16

Here are my tests from my most recent chemical, the strongest one was the first one a d they just never really got darker. I started bleeding on the 7th day 😔 good luck op I really hope you have a successful pregnancy x

Heya,
I am really nervous we have been aTTC for three years and we really really thought we’d need IVF. I tested on 19.10 and to my surprise I got a positive. My last period was 11th September but I have super long cycles and they’re not regular. I think I’m between 4-5 weeks pregnant as the clear blue digits says 2-3 weeks. I am super nervous as my lines don’t seem to be getting darker and also k haven’t had a dye stealer and I have been reading so much about that. Can someone please offer me some honest advice. Am I worrying over nothing? When did you get your dye stealer xx

Your tests look really good to me @Ttcforever19 , lovely and dark! With my successful pregnancies I never tested more than twice so I've got no idea when a dye sealer happens x

The only thing that will show progression properly is HCG blood tests taken about a week apart to check doubling rate. Even then you can get upwards of 10000 and pregnancy fail, then HCG gradually drop. There is also the hook effect where the type of HCG changes and confuses urine tests, so even though HCG is high urine tests can't cope & might be a lot lighter than expected.
