Hey, so I'm 9 weeks and my partner works away one week every month. Last night loneliness hit me and I felt really worried about the future seeing as after this year he will be doing 2 weeks away every month. My parents live 40 minutes away but last night I couldn't stop crying and felt like we have to move so I'm closer to them for help and support.
I feel sick all the time and fed up, I'm normally always out walking, cycling, running but haven't done anything as feel sick and am sick most mornings. Struggling to eat hot food so am living on crumpets and bread! Am I just being hit with mega emotional changes? My mum said she will come and stay for a night when he's away and I can always go there too.
Anyone feeling the same? I don't have any friends in the local area so am hoping I will get to meet people when courses start.
Thanks for listening.

Oh@Vixhere poor you! I really, really feel for you. I adore long distance running and socialising but between 6-13 weeks felt so nauseous, tired, emotional and run down that I couldn't leave the house. I was really lonely and felt quite low. The worst evenings were the ones that my partner did away because, like you, my tolerance to being in the kitchen extended to making toast and peanut butter. I felt resentful that my partner was away one night a week, leaving me to fend for myself (am usually very independent but felt like I needed him). I promise it gets better and I wouldn't make any serious moving plans until you're in your second trimester when you're likely to feel much better. I say definitely get family support for the times your partner is away. My sister would come to cook and watch telly with me. I'm now 20 weeks and feel amazing - back into running and even did a girls holiday abroad last week and felt fantastic. I promise it gets better!! Hang in there and don't be afraid to tell your family/partner what you need. Maybe get yourself a treat to help pick you up

First trimester can be really hard. This is my second pregnancy and again I had tiredness (to the point of going to bed at 7-8pm), couldn’t eat much bc of high acidity, couldn’t exercise, felt very down emotionally etc.

second trimester now, energy back up, feeling happy, thinking to start exercise again.

it’s all normal, get as much support as you can from family now and be easy on your self. 2nd trimester will be much much better.

can’t guarantee 3rd will be the same though :) but at least you’ll have a breather
