What's going on?!

We are TTC at the moment and have been for around 6 months. My periods are very regular and I always know when they are coming. My period is now 4 days late but I did a pregnancy test on Saturday and it was negative... no idea what's going on?

Probably just a random longer cycle, it happens.

Sorry but PP is right, you're very early to be testing so you're either pregnant or have a long cycle this time

She's possibly right though it's normal. Some months you can have longer than normal cycles. If your still testing negative then probably the cause of it.

You can have an off cycle. It's normal

Is 4 days after your period is suppose to have come counted as early? I do understand it's probably just a long cycle, just unusual when they've been regular for 19 years so messes with your head a bit when you're TTC

No I don't think 4 days after period is due is early to test but it reads as though you are 4 days late yesterday, the day the post was written, and took the test on Saturday which was 2 days after your period was due? Either way it could just be a long cycle but I defo get that it really messes with you when you are TTC. Can you do another one tomorrow first thing in the morning when your urine is it's most concentrated?

Thanks @Nursemumma92 tbh I've done loads of tests now because I want to be pregnant so badly. Did one this morning so will leave it another 3 days and then do one. Xx

Do you know when you ovulated? I was late after 6 months of trying. Turns out I ovulated a week later than normal causing my period to be a week late. Unfortunately the stress of trying can sometimes have that effect on us

I used morning pee yeah, I used ovulation sticks but not really sure if I did them right either... I had two previous miscarriages and then got diagnosed with Ashermans and needed surgery to clear adhesions from that.

The line on my ovulation sticks never seem to change very much but I get the pain around when I should ovulate and when I spoke to my GP they said there's no reason to think I'm not ovulating because I got pregnant before and my periods have always been super regular (until this one obviously)
