Any bleed in first trimester - sex in second trimester

Hello!

I had two bleeds in the first trimester. One at 6 weeks.. one at 8 weeks following an orgasm whilst being on progesterone suppositories.

all was ok at a scan at 14+3D and currently 15+2

since the bleed last time i have avoided sex/anything sexual completely! Me and my OH had sex this morning and thankfully no blood - yet.

I haven’t been advised by my midwife not to have sex and only advice received was to not have sex the following 2 weeks after the 8W bleed.

has anyone had early bleeding but had sex ok in the second trimester? Feel guilty for doing it now and worried it may cause problems ☹️

I don't have a personal story but honestly having sex is 100% fine unless a midwife has told you not to. It can occasionally cause spotting due to cervical sensitivity in pregnancy but no risk to pregnancy or your baby at all

We had sex all the way through - currently 32wk. All the podcasts and books say sex is fine unless advised by the midwife or doctor so it wouldn’t have occurred to me not to do it unless told not to

@IWillBeWaxingAnOwl thank you. I have read that and I’d like to think if she thought I shouldn’t have it at all she’d have told me! 🙈 feel like I’m sat just waiting to bleed again xx

@LeafHunter thank you. I think it is the previous two bleeds concerning me specially as the second was after orgasm and now panicking in case I may cause another bleed at this stage xx
