Frer BFP/indent at 12dpo?

Hey all,

First ever post from me after months/years of turning to other threads for advice!

Husband and I (both 32) are ttc second child. I’m 12dpo (having used Clearblue ovulation sticks to determine ovulation date). Had a very faint line on Frer last night followed by another very faint (if not, marginally darker) line with FMU today. They are so faint I’m wondering whether they are indents (sticks are from different packs) or are a sign of a CP, especially as I was testing quite dark with my first child by 11dpo never mind 12... Took a Clearblue weeks indicator test this afternoon, which came back ‘not pregnant’.

What do you think? Is there any hope or should I consider myself out for this cycle? Honesty appreciated! Feeling a bit bad as I told my husband about the faint lines and he’s now disappointed (as am I!).

Thanks x

Also - first pic 11dpo 4pm, second pic 12dpo FMU. Neither edited.

Hi @SnowL2021

I can definitely notice a line but honestly wouldn’t know for certain about indents as I’ve never heard of this before.
I know this may be really hard, but my advice is to get your husband to hide the tests until you reach 15dpo, or whatever is a day past your missed period, and test again then.
I know it’s easier said than done but it will be so much better for your mental health. I recently discovered I’m expecting again, and after reading a few threads, I started obsessing over line progression and worrying myself. Now I’ve asked my husband to hide the tests so that I can’t keep frightening myself and comparing to our ladies and their tests.
Sorry I’m no better help, but defo see a line so I shall keep my fingers crossed for you! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Hi @LettyBee

Thanks so much for your lovely and very sensible response! I will try to do as you’ve suggested (though getting through today without testing again has been difficult!) Just want to know either way. Rationally, I know that I’ll find out eventually.

Congrats and best of luck with your pregnancy!
