Norovirus on top of chest infection, never felt so unwell

Just as the title says really 😩 I am so rundown and poorly, in fact the whole house is. I’m currently 27 weeks pregnant and was very close last night to go to hospital as the stomach cramps made me feel like I was in labour!

Anyway, 36 hours later and the vomiting has stopped but the diarrhoea continues. I am on day 4 of antibiotics for a chest infection and I don’t think it’s shifting it at all.

My poor 3 year old has spent the last 48 hours in and out of sleep, hasn’t eaten anything but is drinking a fair bit and having wet nappies still and doesn’t have a temp (me and my partner both have) so I’m pleased about that.

I guess I just want to rant, will I ever feel normal again??!! Anybody else struggling whilst pregnant? 😩😩

Ice lollies! When I had it the only thing that made my life feel somewhat living was flat lemonade or cherry ade and ice poles. The cheap ones that are quite pale not the neon blue raspberry ones that my husband brought back I will add.!

You poor thing! The nororvirus is absolutely god awful, and on top of a chest infection sounds horrendous. even worse that since your body isn't working as effectively to beat bugs so it'll be harder to recover from and more intense. Hope you and your family feel better soon

So sorry to hear you’re having such a rough time. It’s unbelievably rubbish to feel so poorly.

Sending you lots of best wishes and strength vibes to keep going. Got my fingers crossed that you all feel better soon.
