100% silver or trilaminate nipple cups?

I'm looking to buy silver nipple cups for breastfeeding as I've been told by so many that they are a must to avoid cracked and painful nipples. But I'm confused as to what is best, 100% silver or trilaminate silver? Any advice would be so appreciated- thank you!

Why not wait until you start breastfeeding, you might not need anything at all!

(Sorry not to answer the actual question😅)

I have never heard of these - many people don't get cracked nipples anyway but using a product like lansinoh will help. These sound a bit of a money-spinner to me - how much do they cost?

The only people I've ever heard talk.about these are mums yet to give birth. Everyone who has has their baby and started breastfeeding swers by lansinoh. These were amazing and I've recommended them to everyone I know:

This. I bought them beforehand and only used them once - I got blocked ducts right after, not sure if it was due to them (only had them on for a couple hours). Never used them again. Big waste of £25. But then cracked nipples were rarely a problem for me.
but friends have sworn by them and said they were a must so 🤷🏼‍♀️

The people who swore by them have no idea if they worked or not! These products are nonsense. Makes me a bit cross really.

Koala pure silver are highly recommended by my mum's group of 1400 bf women on Peanut. But honestly you can get next day delivery and cope with lanisoh cream and hot and cold compression until they arrive so save the £40. You can also buy silver cups second hand.

I've never even heard of these 🤔
People love to tell you horror stories but I breastfed my dd for 13 months (exclusively until 6 months when we started weaning) with no problems at all, and that's pretty common.
Would recommend the lansinoh nipple cream for the early days. It also makes a fab lip balm - I'm still using it lol...
