Morning all,
A bit worried as I am pretty sure I am now 3 weeks 3 days post ovulation and Clearblue digital is still showing 2-3 weeks first thing in the morning.
Has anyone else had a similar experience and a healthy pregnancy? 😭
Thanks in advance 🙏🏻

You probably conceived 3 weeks ago. I wouldn't worry at all at this stage.

YoSofi · 22/10/2022 09:23

The digital goes from conception not ovulation so that sounds right to me?

So from date of your last period you would be around 5 weeks pregnant yes?

The clearblue is correct then, 2-3 weeks then add the two weeks on from last period - 5 weeks pregnant.

firsttimelondonmummy · 22/10/2022 09:23

@theydontspeakforus my last period was on the 14th guessing ovulation was around 28th (can’t have been long after that as the US was on the 22nd/23rd) so I think I’m over the 3 weeks 😭

@YoSofi I think I’m 5 weeks 3 days, 3 weeks 3 days post ovulation so should I not be showing 3+?

No because the tests aren't that accurate. Stop doing them as they just cause stress. 2-3 weeks is a good result as indicates your hCG is higher than the minimum.

YoSofi · 22/10/2022 09:26

But after you ovulate, the sperm has to meet the egg and then implant - it’s not instantaneous so your clearblue is right for the stage you’re at I would say.

YoBeaches · 22/10/2022 09:26

Pregnancy tests are generally designed to just tell you that you are currently pregnant. Measuring the level of hormone to try and state how far long is flawed given it varies by woman and by pregnancy.

Don't read into it more than 'you are pregnant'

Congrats :)

firsttimelondonmummy · 22/10/2022 09:28

@BertieBotts agree and they aren’t good for my bank balance 😭
I didn’t know that about the hCG, gives some reassurance 🙏🏼
Thank you!

@YoBeaches that all makes complete sense! Thinking I might delay the scan I booked next Friday now as probably to early to see a heartbeat right?

I have 3 healthy children. I have never ever seen 3+ on a CB test. Ever. I didn't even bother taking one with my third. They aren't accurate!

IWillBeWaxingAnOwl · 22/10/2022 09:36

Honestly if I could ban clear blue weeks I would. All they seem to do is cause lots of anxiety. Hope all goes well OP x

firsttimelondonmummy · 22/10/2022 09:37

@Mymoneydontjigglejiggle That’s reassuring to hear 🙏🏼

@IWillBeWaxingAnOwl agree and I’ve spent about £100 on tests 😭

I had the opposite problem. It showed 3+ weeks too soon for me and I’d totally convinced myself it was either high order multiples or a molar pregnancy. You can’t win with these bloody things!

I went on to have a perfectly healthy singleton.

BertieBotts · 22/10/2022 13:54

Yes if you have the option to delay the scan, 7-8 weeks is best if you want to see a heartbeat. You can sometimes see one at 5-6 weeks but it isn't guaranteed and can just cause anxiety.

firsttimelondonmummy · 22/10/2022 15:11

@BertieBotts great shout! I’ll hold off till 7 weeks 🤞🏼

@firsttimelondonmummy Awww bless him. I am so happy for you. Did you do the CB digi again and got 3+ weeks?

firsttimelondonmummy · 17/10/2023 22:38

I did but it was wayyy later that I got 3+.
From memory I was around 5 and a bit weeks when showing 3+.
