Morning sickness second pregnancy

Hey ladies, so my DD is 18 months and we are pregnant again, after a very traumatic Mc at 12 weeks in June, in that pregnancy I had zero symptoms even though baby was growing fine until 10 weeks, anyway, my first pregnancy I was riddled with morning sickness from 6 weeks, I'm currently 5+2 and had pretty much no symptoms, no sickness, I am a little tired, and my nipples are a tiny bit sorry (tmi)

So my question in short, was did you have morning sickness in second pregnancy? And when did it start? I'm so terrified of another MC and my lack of symptoms is terrifying me x

Sorry for rambling xx

With both my pregnancies I felt totally fine until about 7-8 weeks then was really sick until 11 weeks with my 1st and 14 weeks with my 2nd. Dd1 is 4 and im 31 weeks pregnant with DD2 and all healthy. Try not to worry just yet, although it's totally natural and understandable. Really hope all goes well for you ❤️

Morning sickness - actually hyperemisis - kicked in at 7 weeks for me in both pg. swiftly ramping up to 2 months in and out of hospital to stay hydrated. I wouldn't normally wish pregnancy sickness on anyone, but I hope you get some, just a little bit x

@IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads thank you, I actually had HG in my pregnancy, I was in and out of hospital and literally could not function, I couldn't get out of bed or move, luckily it was during covid! But now I have a toddler and a full time job! I don't know how I'd cope, but I'd like just a tiny bit, 😂 I never worried about my pregnancy with DD as I was so so Ill x

@Nursemumma92 thank you! Did it come on suddenly would you say? I think mine did before I'm sure I said I woke up with it one day x

@Moosh18 im almost 6 weeks and couldn't feel less pregnant if I tried! Literally no symptoms. It's really upsetting me to be honest!

Fingers crossed for us both.

I have a scan on 31st 🤞🏽🥺

Moosh18 · 22/10/2022 07:48

@blueberry23 I have no symptoms at all, except I'm freezing constantly! Is that a symptom? And I'm very very tired, except yesterday I wasn't which has scared me, still getting the odd twinge or cramp, but I think I remember that from first :(

5 weeks pregnant with second and don't have any symptoms either 🤷🏻‍♀️ got a scan at 8 weeks to see if everything is okay. For now I'm just trusting it is 🤞🏻

Pregnancy 1- boy- mild morning sickness from 6-14 weeks.

Pregnancy 2-girl- awful morning sickness from 7-20 weeks then again from 30-36 weeks.

Still early for you to be getting morning sickness.

Summersun1991 · 22/10/2022 08:09

Ive not had any previous experience so I hope you don’t mind me jumping on this post.

I’m 5+3 and currently have very few symptoms. Maybe sore nipples too a bit, slightly bloated and very occasional cramping but that could happen at any point in my cycle before pregnancy.

Its still very early stages I guess.

purplejungle · 22/10/2022 08:20

Sick with both from about 7 weeks- much worse with first though

Moosh18 · 22/10/2022 08:25

I don't think I had any at this point with my daughter so I don't know why I'm so panicked but I just feel total lack of symptoms :(

@Moosh18, HG pregnancy with a toddler was pretty rubbish. We watched a lot of CBeebies! Used savings to up his nursery hours to full time whilst I was actually in hospital. Oh, and he ate a lot of cheese on toast, sometimes just toast on really bad days.

Moosh18 · 22/10/2022 10:25

@IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads oh my gosh that must of been so so hard, I was lucky in the respect I could literally sleep all day as I'd been furloughed, totally different situation this time, I am scared to be honest and am not wishing for sickness but wishing to know everything is okay x

I had morning sickness from 4 weeks till about 20 weeks then it was completely gone, with both my first and second, with my third, I didn't get it until I was 10 weeks, but it's persisted on and off, I'm 33 weeks now, and currently in bed feeling like hell. Every pregnancy has the potential to be exactly the same or completely different from previous ones. Please don't stress yourself out with symptom spotting, it's not good for you or baby (I know this is hard though so my sympathies!)
And congratulations on your new pregnancy ❤️

Yes, don’t stress, Morning sickness was different for each baby, but eating small but regular meals really helped. I found this website that had some great ideas for me.

For my second pregnancy I started getting a bit nauseous around 6 weeks and then was hit with it full pelt at 7 weeks. It lasted until 16 weeks and then I gradually felt better. Sending lots of love as I know this must be a stressful time.
