Enoxaparin in pregnancy question

Hello all!

So I've just got a question - I've tested positive for c*d and informed my midwife unit. They have sent a "kit" with thermometer, blood oxygen/HR checker and a sharps box with a table for me to record results and information on enoxaparin injections which state that I am to give them to myself, makes sense since I have a sharps box but...I have no syringes with the enoxaparin in? I know I need to call the midwife unit again and ask them how I'm supposed to get the syringes but I'm struggling to speak due to being unwell. Has anyone gone through this? Preferably in the Nottinghamshire area if possible as it might be different!

I'm in Notts and had covid whilst pregnant a couple of months ago. The syringes were hand delivered by courier to me from the hospital pharmacy and arranged via the hospital. I rang the phone number on my notes to report that I had covid and it was them who organised everything. Everything else came hand delivered by a community midwife which it sounds like was the same for you. Hopefully you get a knock on the door at some point today!

The injections aren't much fun but you soon get used to it. I had 14 days worth to do. Good luck!

Thank you for that! The hospital rang me eventually and the syringes were delivered today. Not a nice experience at all! Plus I didn't see the top of the sharps box saying don't close all the way until too late so I've gotta call up for another one. Typical really! Not looking forward to another shot tomorrow!
