Hi all, I am a mother of 5, crazy I know, lol but it was 5 times pregnant and 5 healthy births so I never thought I would ever miscarry. I am now pregnant again at 42, I had a miscarriage a couple of months ago and it was traumatic, I was 8 weeks and had bleeding, started light but at times was heavy, 3 scans showed a healthy heartbeat and pregnancy but 3 hours after my last scan I was in agony and lost the pregnancy. I now to my surprise am pregnant again, 4 weeks and a few days but I wiped pink a couple of days ago and now I have brown discharge, sometimes like coffee grounds, obviously I now think this is following suit from my last pregnancy and I'm eventually going to lose it but I would be interested if this has happened to anyone else and the outcome. I have a really demanding office job with lots of responsibility but this is turning my head to mush and I can't forcus :(

So sorry you’re going through this. I’m sure I’ve read somewhere that coffee ground like discharge can be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy. Can you speak to EPU and see what they advise? I imagine 4wks is too early for a scan but they might be able to check bloods for hcg levels.
